Frequently Asked Questions
The contact lens fitting fee is assessed due to the extra time and testing necessary to properly care for a contact lens patient including but not limited to assessing lens fit, ensuring proper lens power, and patient education and training on proper lens care. The fee covers all contact lens trials and contact lens-related follow-up visits for 90 days.
Most insurance plans DO NOT cover the evaluation fee. VSP and Medical Eye Services will allow for the fee to be paid from the overall contact lens allowance.
